Caroline Badnall

Performer's Story

Caroline began her musical education at the age of six, and started performing at seven. Her early promise continued throughout her schooling, passing her L.Mus.A from the Brisbane Conservatorium of Music at the age of sixteen. 2001 saw Caroline being awarded the Cecilia Daff Scholarship for Piano. In October that year her 3rd year Recital Program was recorded for the Young Australia series on ABC Classic FM, and broadcast in April 2002. In May, Caroline was awarded the prestigious Helen Court Scholarship for the most outstanding final year student. In 2002, Caroline was awarded the AMEB Fellowship of Music as well as graduating as Bachelor of Music. Also in 2002 Caroline was awarded the $12,000 Macleod Scholarship from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, allowing her to study in London—investigating Masters Degrees in repetiteur studies. Caroline has performed as soloist with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra and works regularly with the West Australian Opera Company, the West Academy of Performing Arts and the Lieder Society of Western Australia.
