The Castlemaine State Festival are presenting a special event - the Countdown to the Festival concert. Two performances will be presented on Saturday the 23rd of April at 7pm or Sunday the 24th at 2pm.
The concerts, presented in conjunction with the Mietta Song Competition in conjunction with the Williamson Foundation, will feature the outstanding soprano Tabatha McFadyen, and pianist Alex Raineri. The program will consist of pieces by Strauss, Weill, Rachmaninov and Mahler.
In the charming setting of Buda Historic House at 42 Hunter Street Castlemaine, this event will mark the beginning of the countdown to the next Castlemaine State Festival which will take place from 17-26 March 2017.
